The STARS College Soccer Showcase Powered by The Bahamas Football Association

The STARS College Soccer Showcase is a 2-day exposure event hosted by the Ministry of Education in conjunction with the Bahamas Football Association for male and female Bahamian high school student-athletes to showcase their talents to local, US, and Canadian college coaches.

The Student-Athlete Resources and Support (STARS) Programme provides Bahamian high school student- athletes with the tools they need to extend their educational and athletic experience beyond high school, to the collegiate level. This service requires extensive communication, networking, and relationship building with local sporting associations as well as collegiate athletic administrators and coaches worldwide. These relationships have birthed an opportunity for the Ministry of Education to expand its impact in helping the student-athletes of the Bahamas in their pursuit of higher education by partnering with us to host our first annual College Soccer Showcase from February 22nd-23rd, 2019.

PURPOSE

The purpose of hosting a College Soccer Showcase is to provide the 300 plus student-athletes that participate in soccer within the public and private schools of the Bahamas with an opportunity to showcase their skills to national and international college coaches who will attend the event with the sole intent of awarding college athletic scholarships to eligible and deserving candidates.

For many of our students, the exposure of this showcase will initiate their first steps of receiving a college athletic scholarship: being scouted, evaluated, and recruited by college coaches.
